転落令嬢エルの物語

From doujin circle Aphrodite, a short RPG Maker game.

Originally released on March 27th 2021, Chinese and Korean translations were released on the 13th of October 2021 and an English translation was released the next day October 14th.  

The plot is simple, the protagonist is a spoiled young noblewoman named Elle who loses her title after her father is arrested for tax evasion and has his property and noble title sized; she then goes on a quest to regain her family’s honor(by the suggestion of her former maid who took her in after she lost everything).

The story is actually very short, the game taking less than an hour to complete. The game isn’t really difficult in combat, and curiously there seems to be equipment for enemies well past the part where you can battle; perhaps the game was cut short and the equipment for higher level enemies was left in the game.

There are really three parts to the game, one forest dungeon to kill a red bee, one cave dungeon to take out bandits, and a scavenger hunt for a key in a mansion where Elle is taken after she is captured and enslaved.

After that you get a short text crawl where you receive the good end or bad end depending on whether you found the hidden item after said search puzzle (said scavenger hunt suffers from having the text for one of the clues having the incorrect text imputed into it).

The H-scenes focus on the degradation of Elle, who from the start behaves in a totally repugnant fashion, she talks down to everyone and is completely conceited. Elle is drawn as a shapely and attractive young woman, so even though I may not be into degradation I did enjoy seeing her in sex.

The game doesn’t elicit a strong response from me, it was alright; the short run time didn’t do it any favors but it also didn’t overstay its welcome, the H-scenes while limited were nicely drawn with some light animation, and the actual gameplay was a good implementation of the RPG Maker style. 

If the game catches your eye, give it a try; if you’re uninterested then don’t worry yourself about it.
